Michelle was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. In 2009, Michelle received a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Spanish from Wofford College and graduated magna cum laude. In 2012, she received her law degree from the University of South Carolina. While in law school, she was the Articles Editor for the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business. She was also published in the Family Law Quarterly, a publication of the American Bar Association regarding international child custody disputes. At graduation, she received the I.M. Goldberg Award from the South Carolina Bar for her interest in family law.
She has gained a wide variety of experience exclusive to family court, from handling complex custody and divorce cases to serving as a Guardian ad Litem representing the best interests of children in court proceedings. She was honored to be chosen as the 2017 Midlands Elite in Family Law by Columbia Business Monthly. She is an active member of the Richland and Lexington County Bar Associations, and is a member of the Family Law Section and Children’s Law Committee of the South Carolina Bar Association.
